A new structure that involves:

    • Priority Action Groups that co-ordinate the work of existing organisations and partnerships
      • Children and Young People's Partnership
      • Community Safety Forum
      • Skills and Employability Group
      • Health and Wellbeing Partnership Board
      • Housing Partnership Board
    • Cross-cutting Groups that support the work of the LSP
    • development of a network of networks to help connect community interest groups

Further consideration is being given to taking forward older people and environmental issues.

Process for election of LSP Chair and Vice Chair.  Stephen Sheedy of Queen Mary's College and Cllr Andrew Finney, Leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have been endorsed for a term of 2 years - until September 2010.

Moving forward with the Priority Action Groups (PAGs)

To support the development of the Priority Action Groups an external facilitator has been enlisted so that the PAGs could consider:

How they fit into the new LSP structure

  • Their own terms of reference
  • How they will operate - such as chairing, communication and reporting mechanisms
  • Identify priorities for partnership action - including priorities from the Local Area Agreement and where there is local evidence of need, and responsibilities for taking actions forward.
